Central Teeth With Spaces Between Them Teeth Following Bonding Closing The Space
BONDING
Bonding involves the adherence of a composite resin material to the surface of a tooth. The material is color matched to the color of the tooth, resulting in a restoration that looks like part of the natural tooth. Bonding is a procedure that is done to repair damage to the tooth caused by decay, change the alignment of the tooth, close gaps between the teeth and for other cosmetic purposes.
During the procedure, a gel is applied to the surface of the tooth to micro-etch the surface. This is followed by the application of a primer/bonding agent that allows the bonding material to adhere to the tooth surface. The bonding material is then placed on the tooth and hardened with an intense curing light. It is then shaped, and polished to a lustrous finish.
