COMPLETE MOUTH RESTORATION (Temporary Restorations) Following the fabrication of wax "design" models (shown on previous page). Temporary crowns are fabricated out of a high strength tooth colored resin to follow the desired wax design. The teeth are shaped to allow crowns to be placed and the decay removed. The temporary restorations are fitted, adjusted and cemented. The temporary restorations serve to protect the teeth while the final crowns are being fabricated and are useful in the evaluation of the patients esthetics and function. If the patient has a satisfactory result with the temporary restorations, they are used as a design for the final porcelain or metal-ceramic restorations.
